WHEN STRAWBERRIES BLOOM is the second book in Ms. Byler’s Lizzie Searches for Love series. It has a lot of telling in it, and is kind of jumping around from past to present back to past, so it’s choppy and jarring, but the idea behind it is good.

Ms. Byler is an Amish woman so she has first hand knowledge of Amish life. The story telling is not the greatest, but the premise is good, and it is interesting. I will probably read the third book to see what happens with Lizzie. Readers of Amish fiction will want to read WHEN STRAWBERRIES BLOOM. There are lots of delicious sounding recipies included. $13.99. 276 pages. 3.5 stars.
