My thoughts: READY, SET, FIND CHRISTMAS is an adorable toddler style "I Spy" book. It tells the Christmas story, then the child can find the pictures hidden in the picture. A crown, a camel, a bush, a cat, a duck, and more. My daughter isn't a toddler anymore and she enjoyed looking though it and finding the pictures and I let her read the story to me. An adorable book, recommended for nurseries, day cares, moms and grandmas, babysitters, churches, and more.
Mary Engelbreit presents A Night of Great Joy, a delightful picture book that celebrates the joyful season of Christmas. This book tells the story of the nativity through the performance of a children’s Christmas pageant. With adorable illustrations and simple storytelling, Engelbreit paints a wonderful picture of the night that Jesus was born.
A Night of Great Joy recalls that fateful night with wonder and awe. From the arrival of Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem to the gathering of many before the baby Jesus, this holiday treasure leads children through the tale of the birth of Jesus, guiding them with the star of Bethlehem.
Mary Engelbreit, New York Times bestselling illustrator of the blockbuster Christmas classic The Night Before Christmas, brings readers a new holiday picture book that’s sure to become a family favorite.
My thoughts: A NIGHT OF GREAT JOY is too cute. I'm a huge fan of Mary Engelbreit's artwork, and really loved this one. The drawings depict children in a Christmas program, complete with sour faces, giggles, drama queens, and more. Toys are used for some of the animals, while others are kids in costume. A brilliantly done book that collectors of Mary Engelbreit will cherish and moms and grandmas will love to read to their favorite little tykes. Recommended for church daycares, nurseries, preschools, children's libraries, Christian schools and homeschools and private use. Great book! 5 stars.
