My thoughts: This is formula romantic suspense at its finest. It is very predictable, I didn't have any surprises. Who done it was very obvious. There are some contradictions in the story but I read a netgalley version so it might be corrected in the final print version. I did enjoy the read, it was slow but steady. The romance happened a little fast but it was sweet. If you are looking for a predictable romantic suspense you might want to consider this one. It is set in Montana which is an unusual setting. I was given a copy free and all opinions on my own.

I loved the little church where I became a Christian. Our young pastor was seven feet tall, and we felt loved and blessed by him and his wife. I was active in the youth group and sang in a quartet.

One Sunday, my friends had come over to my house to swim in our pool, and when it was time to attend the evening service, one of the girls had forgotten to bring her shoes to my house. So the four of us decided to go to church and sit in the front row. The only one who might notice we weren’t wearing shoes would be our beloved pastor.

He asked us to stand and sing Beneath the Cross of Jesus. So we did. We got the giggles, and only one of us kept singing with her strong alto voice, which made us laugh all the more.

I’m so grateful for those who cheered me on then and still cheering me on today in the race marked out for me.

Who can we cheer on today?

Father, I pray I never forget those who went before me. Those who not only accepted me but loved me and helped me grow spiritually. Amen.

My thoughts: night vision is booked to in this series but it stands alone. It's about the second brother Brandon who here's a woman screaming and when he goes to investigate something discovers much more than he anticipated. And the reader wonders who the bad guys are and what they wanted and why and you are kept guessing through this whole story how it's going to work out. If you like romantic suspense you will love Susan Sleeman's books you will not want to miss a single one. I was given a copy for free and all opinions are my own.

My thoughts: Matching Points is one touching and emotional roller coaster story surrounding true to life issues that some families endure in their journey of life. Asia arrival in Driftwood Cove was to find answers and belong to family. She was surprised to see Ian, her summer time friend when Uncle Walter had her come to stay with his family. The dynamics of each of their dysfunctional family caused unpleasant words being said to both of them by community members, which created more pain for Asia and Ian.

This beautiful story is centered around family, hidden secrets being revealed, forgiveness, new beginnings with grace and mercy when faith is placed in God. The gentle gospel message that God is our father and our lives are to live like Him gave Ian new vision and hope for his future. Cinda’s quilt shop with Asia and Ian taking a class brought a wonderful comparison of how shattered lives like pieces of fabric can become a loving piece of accomplishment just like a life is transformed with God’s forgiveness, grace and mercy. The drama that unfolds with Asia’s pursue of finding answers with twists and turns involving community members spellbound me until the end. I was caught up in the lives of the true to life characters, scenes and smells of Ian's I-BBQ restaurant that made me hungry. I look forward to the next book in this series to see how Asia, Ian, Cinda, Glenna, Meg, Daniel and others are doing in Driftwood Cove.

My thoughts: I haven't read many books by this popular Amish author,

and this is a woman's fiction. I enjoyed to get getting to know this group

of complex characters and even a tiny bit of a mystery. It was fairly

predictable, but very well written and I greatly enjoyed it. I would

read others in this series. If you like Amish women's fiction, you will love

the seekers. Highly recommended.

My thoughts: this romantic suspense is the second in a series. I think

I missed the first book because I don't remember reading it and I'm going

to have to go back and look for it. However, this book stands alone and you

won't be lost at all. Ms Barrett's romantic suspense is non-stop action, a fast

read, and full of twists and turns. It's also set on the popular lantern Beach

where Ms Barrett has several series and spinoffs set, and fans will want to

read them all. The ending was unexpected. I enjoy Ms Barrett's books.

My thoughts: Val Comer there's one of my very favorite Christian romance

writers with good reason. I love this story about a good Christian girl meeting a former

bad boy who made some bad choices. She had to learn God forgives everything if you asked.

Great message. Great story. Great chemistry. There are like many books in the series but theY

all stand alone. Fans will want to read the entire series though.

The Proposal is a poignant and action packed story from the start to the finish. This historical Christian romance is pictorial and expressive penned with dialogue that held my attention from the start to the last word. Jessica is one strong, spirited, and determined woman and is on the run. A sudden proposal by Blake caused alarm when she discovered he was a lawman. Having no choice but to remain in town Jessica found more than she anticipated. Her choice was to leave but time wasn’t on her side.

The characters are likable even with their flaws and secrets. Eavenson created a fantastic story line with a solid Christian message interwoven with all the danger and caring residents of the town and ranch. It was nice to connect up with the characters from book one, The Rescue, but The Proposal can be read as a standalone. This book is appropriately titled just like The Rescue was for the hero and heroine. I look forward to the next book in the All Roads Lead to Texas series.

Fiction to Reality

Ever had those moments when you’re reading a novel and it’s as if the author wrote the story line, the characters, or included verses just for you? When your world turns from fiction to reality with the flip of a page?

At the beginning of December in 2014, I took a novel from my bookshelf, snuggled on the couch with a blanket, and began to read. The title of the novel is called The Rancher’s Reunion by Tina Radcliffe. The hero in the story is Will, and he has a hereditary disease that caused him to fear, not only his future, but in trusting God. And that’s when God used this story to speak to me.

“I’m scared, Annie.”

“I know, Will. I know.” She blinked back the moisture pricking her eyes.

“No, Annie. I don’t think you do. I’m not just scared. I’m terrified.”

And I understood Will’s fear. Weeks prior to reading this novel, my doctor told me I have cancer. It’s a single word that can change the course of your life, emotionally, physically, but not only yours, others around you. And though I knew God’s presence would be with me no matter what the future held, my desire to write or edit anything had vanished. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I wanted to write anymore with my future so uncertain. I wasn’t just scared, but terrified my time with my family would be shortened.

But as I continued to read Will’s story, God’s whispered words, Do not be afraid of things you cannot control, pray, and continue your call to write, took hold and draped around my heart.

I knew at that moment this book was meant to be read at this appointed time. That God was leading me to give Him every single fear, open my laptop, and begin to write again.

During the time I’d stopped writing, I was in the middle of two stories, a contemporary romance, and The Rescue, the first story in the All Roads Lead to Texas series. It took some months before I returned to writing, but I had to give my fears to God the only way I could. Like Will and Annie’s story, day by day. Moment by moment.

In my new novel, The Proposal, the second story in the All Roads Lead to Texas series, Jessica Thompson understands fear and must learn how to give it to God. She has her father’s killer on her trail and the only means for escape is to run, but she never counted on the sheriff of Graham, Texas, to get in her way.
