My thoughts: this book is not exactly what I was expecting but it is a book that might interest preteens or young teens that heaven does exist just in case they are doubting it. It could be a difficult read for young children and on the other hand it is informative and contains some comfort. There are questions and areas to write your thoughts in the book if you like to write in books. And it might be wise the study as a group so you can simplify the answers for children who don't understand. I was given a copy free and all opinions on my own.

My thoughts: this is a sweet picture book about a couple who are expecting a baby and anxiously awaiting for it to arrive. The illustrations are beautifully done and sure to hold a child's interest as a loved one reads the story to them and stresses how much their arrival was looking forward to. It's a nice book to read to a child let them know that they were wanted and loved. Sure to be a favorite in your child's library. Recommended. I was given a copy free and all opinions on my own.

Was Jesus a People Pleaser?

I've read articles like 10 Things to Help You Stop Being a People Pleaser. Yet, I enjoy pleasing others. Is it in my genes, or was I taught that trait? I've questioned my motives: am I afraid of not living up to others' expectations of me? Or am I trying to live by the verse "Do to others as you would have them do to you"? I enjoy doing good deeds, and I can't imagine being rude or blunt. It isn't in my character. Because I never allow someone to use me, I believe I have a healthy balance in my life of meeting my own needs as well as pleasing others.

Jesus had thousands of followers. He gave them nourishment, and He also fed their souls. He healed the sick and performed miracles. He certainly must have pleased them to want to be with Him. The multitude followed Jesus, and He was honest. Can a person be a people pleaser as well as be honest?

God created us in His image, including our personalities. Whether you're a people pleaser or not, embrace how God created you.

Father, I thank You for creating me just as I am. Help me follow Your example as I please You and others. Amen.

My thoughts: this is a children's book with lots of colorful pictures about a little boy who misses his grandma and wonders how he can get to heaven to visit her. He has lots of ingenious ideas but nothing works. Then one day I passed her tells him the only way he can get to heaven. It's a sweet book The children will be sure to enjoy, especially with the beautiful illustrations. I recommend this book. I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own

Wooty woo! We’re back in Death Valley again! So excited about this fourth book in the series because Papa Bear and I have actually returned to this amazing place. (Our previous return trip was stalled for a while due to the virus that shall not be named!) People have asked me, “Why do you love Death Valley so much?” I can only respond that you just have to go there to understand. Is it the vastness of the place? The enormous topographical variety? Maybe it’s the profound quietness that permeates the national park and environs. Then again, it might be the panorama of nighttime stars. (Death Valley National Park is a certified International Dark Sky Park due to its limited light pollution.) Could it be the tenacity of people who live there and survive the one hundred twenty plus degree temperatures in the summer? And how about those animals? The Death Valley pupfish is a teeny little endangered fish that lives in precisely one spot on the globe (Death Valley) and only two places within that range, Salt Creek and Cottonball Marsh. Imagine that! So why set a six book series in Death Valley? Because there’s no more hostile and incredible place I can think of. I hope you will enjoy taking a fictional trip with me there too.
