God Always Answers Prayers by BJ Bassett

God always answers one way or another. Job 33:14 MSG

When my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, he asked, “Why has God done this to me?”

While I am sympathetic to his suffering, his words break my heart. He said, “I’ve prayed for healing, and God hasn’t answered my prayer.”

His words were like a dagger piercing my heart. Didn’t he believe as I did? Didn’t he possess the assurance that God answers our prayers? God’s answer isn’t always yes. Sometimes it’s no. At other times, God wants us to wait for His timing. And He may even have something better for us.

I longed for my husband to reach the place in his relationship with God of complete trust that God always answers our prayers, even when we disagree with His answer.

God not only hears our prayers, He always answers them.

I ask that we have more trust in You to hear and answer their prayers. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
