Each devotional has six components:

1. I AM says you are—which shows us how God sees us, and begins with an identity statement followed by a supporting verse from the Bible.

2. Teaching Point—describes how we might struggle to believe the identity statement.

3. What do you think?—causes you to take the time to be still and meditate on the identity statement.

4. Taking out the trash—this helps you to eliminate any thought that contradicts Scripture and shows you patterns of thinking that prevent you from seeing yourself as God sees you.

5. Replacing the trash with the treasure—a verse study that helps to reinforce our identity in Christ.

6. Challenge—a personal challenge to practice what you have learned.

Earlier last year I took a Bible study class by a different author that was designed around the same concepts in this book – believing God. And in this class we had to learn five statements of faith. Some of them say, in part, “God is who He says He is.” “I am who God says I am.” This devotional takes these statements and makes them clear for the woman who might be struggling to find her path, the purpose that God has for her. I AM Says, “You Are…” will truly help you to understand your identity in Christ.
