My Little Girl

Title: MY LITTLE GIRL

Illustrator: Julia Davis
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
2008
ISBN: 978-1-4003-1321-1
Genre: Inspirational/childrens

Katie is excited when her daddy promises her a spectacular day out, just the two of them. Katie envisions all kinds of fun things, a trip to the Jungles of Africa, a royal ball, or maybe even the ballet. So, Katie dresses for everything! A tiara and a ball gown, tights and a tutu and jungle boots.

When Daddy announces that they aren’t doing anything special, Katie is stunned. What could be fun about just running boring errands with Daddy. But the co-op has baby bunnies and chickens, and then they spend time cloud gazing and swinging on a tire swing. Katie learns that a day doesn’t have to be spend doing exotic things, when it’s spent with Daddy.

MY LITTLE GIRL is a charming picture book with adorable colored pictures that my little girls, ages three and six, immediately fell in love with. The wording is engaging and the story line is sure to be a winner with any family. At the end of the story are lines available for you to write your own special Daddy/daughter story.

I really think MY LITTLE GIRL is a winner for families with small little girls. They will enjoy hearing about Katie and what she and her daddy do for outings and comparing it to their special times with their dads. This book will make an excellent book to wrap and put under the tree for a special little girl in your life. $16.99 hardcover.
