The Ultimate Journey

Title: THE ULTIMATE JOURNEY
Author: Jim Stovall
Publisher: David C. Cook
June 2011
ISBN: 978-1-4347-0314-9
Genre: Inspirational/general/fiction

I never read the first two books in this series, but I did see the movie The Ultimate Gift. I thought this book would be kind of similar to the movie, but it starts out with Jason and Alexia getting married in front of a judge, and then opening a wedding present of Red Steven’s diary and another DVD for them as they go on their wedding journey.

It talks about life lessons, that Red had learned and how he’d learned them, such as the lesson of giving, the lesson of work, the lesson of friends, etc.

I did enjoy reading through the book, though it seemed kind of telling and there are some inconsistencies through the book – one of which is that the book starts with Jason and Alexia getting married and ends with the same. Their wedding.

There are some valuable life lessons in the book, but this isn’t an entertaining fiction it’s a learning fiction and probably best to take in small doses, so you can consider the lessons. Photos from the movie, The Ultimate Gift, is included. $14.99.
162 pages.
