Organized Grime

Title: ORGANIZED GRIME
Author: Christy Barritt
Publisher: Princeton Halls Press
December 2011
ISBN: 9781466480193
Genre: Inspirational/suspense

Gabby St. Claire is a crime scene cleaner and college student, trying to earn her forensic investigator’s degree. Life is pretty calm at the moment—at least until FBI knocks on her door. It seems Gabby’s best friend and next door neighbor, Sierra, is presumed guilty of some crimes being committed in the area.

Sierra never seemed a violent type person, so Gabby is positive that she isn’t guilty of the crimes she’s accused of. But she was seen in the area—she was seen arguing with people that later were found dead, things that implicate her were found at crime scenes.

Desperate to find her friend innocent, Gabby disobeys FBI’s orders and starts doing some investigating on her own. But she must be getting too close for comfort because now someone seems to be targeting Gabby? Who is it? And why?

ORGANIZED GRIME is the long awaited third book in Ms. Barritt’s Squeaky Clean Mysteries series. I read the first two books in the series Hazardous Duty and Suspicious Minds and recommend reading both of them before reading ORGANIZED GRIME as events are referred to from the previous books. However, if you can’t get the first two, then enough is explained that you won’t be totally lost.

I totally loved reading ORGANIZED GRIME and was absolutely drawn into the story from page one. Some things hit me by surprise, others wasn’t so much. Gabby is a very realistic character, someone I could relate to, and I hoped she’d find her friend, alive and innocent. I highly recommend this book and the series. $12.99. 284 pages.
