Publisher: Bethany House
Lily Young’s sister Daisy left home, claiming she could make a lot of money working in the logging towns as a prostitute. Lily is certain that her sister is tired of that life and wants to leave, but she doesn’t know how to escape. So, posing as a photographer’s assistant, she searches through logging towns, hoping to find her sister.
When Lily arrives in
, she lands in the lights
of lumber baron Connell McCormick. Connell is aiming to increase the family
fortune, and figures as long as he lives an upright life, that’s all that
matters. But when Lily arrives in town, his world is upended and he realizes
that dangerous men have gained too much power while he turned a blind eye. Harrison,
Lily soon secures Connell’s help—but will she find her sister? Or will standing for what’s right cost them both everything?
UNENDING DEVOTION has a unique premise, one that caught me attention and piqued my interest. The men who worked in lumber camps were a rough and rowdy bunch, but I never considered that lumber towns would employ prostitutes and gaming houses to entertain the men. Most of the camps I’ve visited in
were pretty isolated, not towns. But it might have been different in Harrison.

About the Book:
In Her Darkest Hours, Is He the Man She Needs?
Lily Young longs to find her lost sister or will die trying. Heedless of any danger, she searches logging camps and towns, posing as a photographer’s assistant. And then she arrives in Harrison, Michigan–and the sights of Connell McCormick.
Connell is determined to increase the fortune of his lumber-baron father and figures as long as he’s living an upright life, that’s what matters. But when Lily arrives in town she upends his world, forcing him to confront the truth that dangerous men have gained too much power while good men turn a blind eye.
