COOKING UP LOVE is the first published book I’ve read by Ms.
Hickey, other than her first cozy mystery series published by Barbour several
years back. I enjoyed getting to know Tabby and Adam and learning more about
how Harvey Girls worked and were perceived by the public at large.
The writing is busy, with a lot of rushing and marching, and
nonstop serving. It’s way too busy to be predictable. You never know if Tabby
will be sliding across the room or climbing a counter to get away from a mouse.
I was pleasantly surprised. Don’t miss COOKING UP LOVE. $4.99. 192 pages.
