My thoughts (lvh): THE EXERCISE OF INTERFERING is the third book in this cozy mystery series. It is written in first person so might not appeal to all readers. Elliot is  Hispanic and new to the USA and its ways. She's also discovering lots of secrets and mysteries, some involving her father who recently died of a heart attack--or did he?

This story was somewhat a filler,  with two mysteries, but moving things along for dear old dad. I wanted her to just read her dad's journal, but she doesn't other than an entry at a time. I loved the hint of a possible romance and how Elliot was forced to stop lying to her mom...somewhat.

If you like cozy mysteries, you will love THE EXERCISE OF INTERFERING as well as the  other books in the series. You will want to read these books in order.
