Elsie Miller and Levi Wyse are opposites in ways but one thing for sure their past love is still the center of their heart. The unexpected events that led Elsie to become an assistant to Levi’s sister, Abigail who is confined to a wheel chair, as well as a Christmas elf to Levi brought tense moments along with emotions flowing with passion. An ice storm compounded the fun loving happenings as Elsie and Noah Miller stayed at the Wyse’s home along with George, the elderly chaperone. The twists and turns with drama bringing in Englischer, the bishop and others gave way to a beautiful message of coming together to aid those in need.

Hilton’s stories are filled with dimensional characters, ashes turn to beauty through God’s love and grace after facing true to life events and romance. I look forward to reading the next installment in The Hidden Springs series set in rural Illinois Amish country.
