Valerie is the typical Southern belle, used to elaborate parties, attentive beaus, and whatever money can buy. She is suffering from her father’s withdrawal. Ben is attracted to the needy female initially, but soon he finds that there is more to her than first meets the eyes. She is nicer than the other women throwing themselves at him.
