But Benjamin has more on his mind than a beautiful woman. His brother Luke has gone missing and Ben is determined to find him.
When Valerie’s father is accused of supplying Federal gunboats in order to save his shipping business, and Valerie is charged with conspiracy, Valerie is forced to flee her New Orleans’s home. Ben sends her home to his family promising to return soon. But then Valerie finds herself caught in a web of lies that threaten to imprison her.
UNWILLING WARRIOR is the first book in Ms. Boeshaar’s new historical series, Seasons of Redemption. Valerie is the typical Southern belle, used to elaborate parties, attentive beaus, and whatever money can buy. She is suffering from her father’s withdrawal. Ben is attracted to the needy female initially, but soon he finds that there is more to her than first meets the eyes. She is nicer than the other women throwing themselves at him.
