A Dream to Call My Own

Title: A DREAM TO CALL MY OWN
Author: Tracie Peterson
Publisher: Bethany House
June 2009
ISBN: 978-0-7642-0683-2
Genre: Inspirational/historical

Lacy Gallatin is determined to find the man who killed her father. She believes it was cold-blooded murder, even though others swear that it probably was an accident. And now that her sisters are happily married, she feels misplaced, no longer welcome at the inn they all live and work at.

Dave Shepard has loved Lacy from a far for ages, but he feels woefully inadequate for her. He believes he is close to figuring out who killed her father, but will it be enough for her even if he does?

Tension crackles when Dave and Lacy are together, but what will it take for Dave and Lacy to admit they might be in love?

A DREAM TO CALL HER OWN is the third and final book in the Brides of Gallatin County series. A family saga, each book in the series is about the three sisters, but the focus is mainly on one of them.

I read all the books in the series, but there was some lapse of time between books. I was confused at first with all the people, but after awhile it started coming back to me who the husbands were, and the step-child, etc.

Lacy and Dave were realistic characters, each with a dream and a goal they desired. I hoped that they would be able to achieve their desires and find love. This series didn’t disappoint. $13.99. 365 pages.
