The set up is two-page, with the hymn, complete with words and music, leading, then the second page opens with a verse, then goes into the history behind the writing of the song, and sometimes, the music behind it as well.
It is written in devotional style, so a reader could read one a day easily enough.
I enjoyed reading through the collection learning the history. Some of which I knew, but some I didn’t know. This book would be an awesome edition to any music lover’s library, and would make a wonderful edition for the music minister at your church.
The book is beautifully done as well. Paperback, with inside flaps like it is hardcover, and the pages are antiquated so that it looks real nice. Don’t miss THEN SINGS MY SOUL: Special Edition.
