Andi and her family are going to the 1874 California State Fair. Andi is excited until she learns that her family won’t let her take her young horse, Taffy? Andi is convinced that Taffy would have won a blue ribbon too.

But despite Andi’s disappointment, Andi has fun at the fair. She samples taffy, she gets to eat out and stay in a hotel, and she gets money to spend at the fair games. Andi is glad she came…until she learns that she can’t keep the prize that she won fair and square!

ANDI’S FAIR SURPRISE is the third book in the Circle C Beginnings series. I enjoyed reading this series for beginning readers, and look forward to more books in the series. You don’t really need to read the books in order as they are all stand alone.

Andi is an adorable little six year old who gets into a lot of trouble, yet she’s so sweet. My young daughters are both anxious to read this book and were hurrying me to read this book. If you are looking for a good book for your beginning reader, then pick up ANDI’S FAIR SURPRISE or any of the Circle C Beginnings books. For ages six to eight year olds. Information about the fairs in 1874 is included at the end of the book. $4.99. 75 pages.
