Lily Lapp is five years old and growing up on a small Amish farm in upstate New York. She has a four year old brother, Joseph, and her mother just had a new baby, Dannie. Lily helps to plant the garden, thrills over a new cow and chickens given to her mama for Christmas and worries when her brother tries to fly and breaks an arm.

LIFE WITH LILY is the first book of four written about Lily. My ten year old daughter snagged it the day it came in the mail and read it start to finish in two days. The review, in my daughter’s words: Lily is very mischievous and she’s very fun and she does a lot of silly things, but she tries to keep out of trouble.

As an adult, I didn't find much of a plot or storyline, it was just a collection of stories. Charming for children, or for those who want to know what an Amish child does. $12.99. 288 pages.

About the Book:
