Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska

Publisher: Summerside Press
January 2013
ISBN: 978-1609365691
Genre: Contemporary and historical

Singer Ginny Marshall is on the verge of great things. She’s been invited to sing at the Grammies, offered a new contract, and her manager is interested in her romantically. But Ginny pulls back, thinking of the man she left behind, Brett Miller.

During a weak moment, Ginny books a flight to Alaska—Glacier Bay—to track down Brett, on the pretense of getting his advice about all the wonderful things happening to her. But Brett is on a kayaking trip, so Ginny meets his grandma, who hands her a stack of old letters.

As Ginny reads the letters she gets to know a generation who went through much of the same things she did—ones who healed and flourished. Will Ginny find healing through these old letters be able to embrace the future God has for her?

LOVE FINDS YOU IN GLACIER BAY, ALASKA is a truly sweet story that bridge the genre gap of historical and contemporary. Two stories are included in one. I thoroughly fell totally in love with Brett. What a man. And I also fell in love with Ellie in the historical part.

I liked this Love Finds You book better than I had Ms. Goyer’s and Ms. Fleiss’ previous cowritten Love Finds You books – and I thoroughly enjoy them. This book is going on my keeper shelf.  Highly recommended. Don’t miss LOVE FINDS YOU IN GLACIER BAY, ALASKA. It’s a trip to Alaska you won’t want to miss. $12.99. 320 pages.

About Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska
Singer Ginny Marshall is one signature away from the recording contract of her dreams-a deal that would guarantee success for the former foster child, who still struggles to bury the memories of her painful childhood. But Ginny needs advice from the one person who will look out for her best interests-her former fiancé, Brett Miller. She travels to the remote town of Glacier Bay, Alaska, where the town's colorful characters and stunning scenery provide respite from LA's pressures.
In Glacier Bay, Ginny discovers a box of old letters and is swept up in the love story between Clay, an early missionary to Alaska Territory, and Ellie, the woman who traveled there to be his children's governess. When Ginny is reunited with Brett in Glacier Bay, will she discover-as Ellie did-that healing and love are sometimes found in the most unexpected places?
