Her heart is in the right place…Bored with her life in Castle Town, Montana, Lillian Sullivan follows her friend’s suggestion and joins the horseback librarian program in rural Kentucky. Not only does she anticipate sharing her love of books, but she also wants to spread the gospel among the mountain people. However, Willow Hollow presents her with one trouble after another and she struggles to step outside her shyness to share the gospel. What will it take for Lillian to share her love of the Best Story? Can the power of the gospel overcome the shyness of her own heart? This novella is part of a series with different authors, but can easily be read as a standalone.
Marilyn's thoughts: I Love to Tell the Story is the second novella in the
Librarians of Willow Hollow. This tale brought Lillian from Montana
to the mountains of Kentucky .
She wanted to live her life sharing the gospel and this was a perfect
opportunity. Her first encounter with Crow as she was traveling to Willow
Hollow brought a challenge. He was cankerous and not an easy individual to like
with his attitude but she felt compassion and wanted an opportunity to let her
light shine. Will Lillian find the mountain folks acceptance of her being a
Pack Horse Librarian and sharing the gospel with them?
This is an easy read that will appeal to young teens to
adults who enjoy Christian historical fiction. Librarians of Willow Hollow will
give insight into the lives of Pack Horse Librarians and the mountains folks
during the late 1930’s. I recommend reading each novella in order to appreciate
each librarian.
