Marilyn's thoughts:   Lottie’s True Love is an amazing post Civil War Mail Order Bride story. Lottie was weary of waiting for Ryan to return after three years when the war ended. With all the devastation and lost at her Georgia plantation home, she followed the advice of her cousin to submit a letter to become a mail order bride. Journeying to Pelican Rapids, MN was a true adventure for Lottie. Her perspective groom, Captive Caleb Brooks, brought plenty of twists and turns to his life along with opening his heart. There were unexpected happenings that led to a chase, kidnapping and more. The history interwoven and tidbits of that era shared at the end of the story by Prysock was enlightening.

 

Even though I’ve already read other books in Brides of Pelican Rapids series, this one is a grand introduction to the series. I look forward to reading all future releases that I haven’t read to date.
