Following the New York Times Bestseller, One Thousand Gifts -- a guide to giving thanks and finding joy in all aspects of life -- Ann Voskamp returns with this companion One Thousand Gifts Devotional. How in the world do we find real joy and experience grace in the midst of deadlines, debt, drama, and all these daily duties?

These sixty reflections, each one like a singular tree, invite you to take wing into a forest of graces. Glimpses of grace that will lead you into your own lifestyle of Christ-focus and communion. Into how your desperate need of Him every moment is wildly met with His extravagant love for you. As practical as profound, this devotional offers real life transformation with intentional space to begin the radical habit of thanking God for your own one thousand gifts.

The endless grace of our overflowing God, it's meant to be experienced directly. The most important thing is simply to begin.

Pick up a pen and this book -- and change your life.  Take the dare to fully live!

God's just waiting to bless you with the greatest gift of all—more and more of Himself....

ONE THOUSAND GIFTS DEVOTIONAL starts with a Bible verse for you to read, goes into a two or three page story / devotional, and ends with a prayer and a few lines for you to write your thoughts.

I didn’t read the book that preceded this one, but I found the style of writing very hard to follow and get into. I had to read the same passages multiple times to get anything out of them. The idea of it is good – great even – but if you live in a busy home and don’t have quiet place to go to be alone and read without distractions, this book difficult to understand. However, the thoughts, the ideas are great.

Available in ebook and hardcover. 256 pages.

Author: Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt
Publisher: Plough
March 2014
ISBN: 978-0874868111
Genre: Nonfiction / prayer book

We want to turn to God at the end of each day, but often don’t find the words to express our deepest feelings and longing. This collection of prayers is one of the few daily devotionals especially intended for use in the evening. Blumhardt’s words bespeak a certainty in God’s nearness. The peace that flows from them comes from an unshakeable conviction that God’s kingdom is indeed on the way. In stormy and challenging times like our own, most of us need this reassurance frequently, if not daily.

EVENING PRAYERS FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR is a great prayer starter for people to begin their evening (or morning) prayers when they don’t know how to start.

They begin with a verse of scripture for you to read and ponder, then go into the prayer, just a short paragraph or two for you to pray.

If you like to read prayers, or need prayer prompts, or don’t know what to say when you pray, then EVENING PRAYERS FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR is a great book for you to consider. Available in ebook and hardcover. 408 pages.
