SABOTAGE AT SEA

On his cousin's Christmas cruise wedding, navy SEAL Jordan Somerton anticipated having the typical best man duties—not facing down criminals boarding the ship. But when the luxury liner is infiltrated by men determined to kidnap the flower girl, he's plunged into an unexpected mission. Maid of honor and DEA agent Amy Delgado hasn't forgiven Jordan for a misunderstanding in their pasts. But with her young niece targeted, she must draw on Jordan's skills as a protector. Signs point to an inside job. With a traitor in their midst, can they ensure that every passenger returns home safely for the holidays…even as they find love amid deepening danger?

My thoughts:  CHRISTMAS CAPTIVE is the sixth book in Ms. Johnson's Men of Valor book but it completely stands alone. Other books in the series (in case you want to read them all are: A Promise to Protect,  SEAL Under Siege, Navy SEAL Noel, Navy SEAL Security,  Hazardous Holiday and CHRISTMAS CAPTIVE.

This is definitely a page-turner. And I didn't guess who was behind the attacks, though I did have some suspicions.  I fell in love with both Jordan and Amy. They were both hurting characters with a lot to overcome, a lot on their plate, and only days to  end a mission they didn't know they were on in advance.

I loved, loved, loved, the Coast Guard presence in this book and almost cheered when the call came. "This is the United States Coast Guard. Prepare to be boarded."

If you like Romantic Suspense, you will want to read CHRISTMAS CAPTIVE.

I  was given a copy of this book free.  All opinions are my own.
