QUILLS AND PROMISES is the second book in Ms. Miller’s Delaware series which will be repackaged later as a set of three stories set in Delaware. I enjoyed getting to know Elanna, and reconnecting with the hero and heroine from the first book.

Elanna seems to be a spunky heroine, reminding me rather of the heroine in the American Girl movie, Felicity. Ms. Miller has the speech for that time period, the clothing, and the historical facts down pat, indicating that she must have spent a lot of time researching this series, and her efforts show.
