Everyone knows they can count on Paige
Alder. But between volunteering at church, putting in overtime at work, and
helping her best friend plan an anniversary party and wedding, she's lucky to
grab a cheese stick for dinner.
Paige can't even remember the last time she
had a few minutes to relax or dig into God's Word. Then she meets laid-back
Tyler, an attractive, Jesus-loving guy. Will he be able to help Paige get her
priorities on track?
I read Ms. Mangum’s first series, but
haven’t had the opportunity to read any of the rest, until I got PAIGE TORN in
the mail. I did enjoy getting to know Paige. Like her, I wondered what her best
friend, Layla, saw in Peter—he seemed to totally have no personality (but I’ve
known people like that in real life), and sometimes I wanted to shake Paige
when she allowed people to take advantage of her so much. Layla was the worst,
expecting her to drop everything and do everything for her, like Layla wanted
all the credit but none of the work. I got frustrated with Paige as well when Tyler starts showing
interest and she kept pushing him away because Layla needs her…
I can’t wait to read the second book in this
series, Paige Rewritten, releasing in October. If you like chicklit,
first person, present tense style books, and love a good young adult book with
a message, then don’t pass up, PAIGE TORN. $14.99. 304 pages.
