If you are studying geography of the world, and plan to memorize countries and where in the world they are located, then this hardcover book of the flags of each country of the world is a must have to complete your studies.

Going into the history of the flag, how they came about Flags of the World teaches that the flag is far more than a mere banner. It also reflects the country’s independence, the citizens and in some cases, their social views. It shows how a flag needs to be treated with respect, defended, and given a military salute.

In addition to teaching about flags, it also goes into the meanings of the different colors (like red is for courage) and what the various symbols mean.

The book also includes information and statistics about the countries flying the flags. It includes information about 219 nations and over 100 flags for international organizations, including the Red Cross and the UN.

If you or someone you know is interested in international affairs, world history (including symbols), geography, then Flags of the World is definitely a book to consider. Recommended.
