MISFORTUNE COOKIES is a humorous story set in a small town in Texas, with two Chinese restaurants owned by the same family! So the misfortune cookies literally showed up where Lavita did. I had to keep reading to find out whether her father was really murdered or whether it was a heart attack as they believed.
There are two yummy sounding recipes included at the end of the book, but to be honest I’m kind of afraid to try them since the book used them to make some characters sick (though I’m sure the correct recipe is the one in the book). I have two sequels to this book: A Tisket, A Casket and Dead As A Doornail and they're going to come out as a 3-in-1 along with Misfortune Cookies sometime in 2011.
