Title: A SOLDIER’S REUNION
Author: Cheryl Wyatt
Publisher: Love Inspired
Mandy Manchester and Nolan Briggs used to date, but after high school they went their separate ways. Mandy to medical school, and Nolan into the military.
When the bridge over the river in Refuge, Illinois collapses, a school bus is among the vehicles wrecked, and it is full of kids. Reece North, the soon-to-be daughter of another pararescue jumper is among the students trapped on the bus. Emotions are running high, and the last person Nolan expects to see is his old flame, Mandy.
Mandy has been hurt by the way she and Nolan parted ways, and she just can’t get past the barrier she erected to keep the pain at bay even though Nolan makes it clear he wants to resume their old friendship…and possibly more. Can Mandy possibly trust Nolan enough to take a leap of faith?
A SOLDIER’S REUNION is the fourth book in the Wings of Refuge series, but it easily stands alone. I couldn’t help but be swept into the action as the story begins with excitement, and doesn’t let up for several chapters, which kept the pages turning.
Ms. Wyatt is definitely a talented author, and her military heroes are one of a kind with Steeple Hill Books. I enjoyed reading about the pararescue jumpers and their life, and getting to know Mandy and Nolan. I especially enjoyed having Reece and the other characters from previous books make routine appearances in A SOLDIER’S REUNION.
Don’t miss A SOLDIERS REUNION, available from www.steeplehill.com or from www.amazon.com. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book. $5.50. 211 pages.
