Amish Quilts Coloring Book

Amish Quilts Coloring Book

Amish Quilts and Proverbs #1

Paperback

April 1, 2016

by Rachel J. Good

  • Paperback: 56 pages
  • Publisher: Golden Fairy Arts; 1 edition
  • ISBN-13: 978-0692684207

Inspired by quilts seen in Amish country, many of these designs are based on traditional patterns, but some have been reimagined or repeated multiple times to create more intricate designs to color. Each quilt is printed on only one side of the page; facing pages contain inspirational Amish proverbs. To make the quilts even more colorful and interesting, sketch fabric designs – plaids, checks, paisleys, flowers, or abstract shapes – into the larger quilt blocks, use pattern stamps, or even collage fabric scraps to the pages. And if the designs inspire you to make quilts of your own, the pages can be used as templates for quilt-making.

Difficulty is the first stage of a miracle. - Amish Proverb

My thoughts:  AMISH QUILTS COLORING BOOK is a coloring books of Amish quilts (obviously.) The designs are intricate, and allow you to use your own creativity to color, in case you want to plan out fabric in advance you can see how it works using colored pencils or markers. And if you don't quilt but just color, you'll still have a beautiful book full of quilts and Amish proverbs to be enjoyed.

AMISH QUILTS COLORING BOOK is highly recommended for fans of Amish books, quilters, senior citizens, or shut-ins, or any adult who loves coloring. This would be a great gift for your mom or grandmother for Mother's Day, or a gift for a sick friend in the hospital.  5 stars.
