My thoughts: Similar in style to Jane Austen (but not so dark), Julie Klassen and Laurie Alice Eakes, this is a regency that will delight fans of the above mentioned authors. I enjoyed getting to know Patience, the responsible daughter struggling to keep her father's dream alive despite her mother's illness and her brother's disappearance. I also enjoyed getting to know William, a man who made too many mistakes and now struggled to regain his footing both financially and socially.
