Three young Amish women, each gifted with a hand-carved hope chest, find that one by one, with patience and faith, their most blessed dreams for the future can come true…

Annie Mast and Levi Miller were best friends until his father was shunned by the church. Now, ten years later, Levi has returned to Arthur, Illinois, for a brief visit, and he and Annie discover their bond is as strong as ever. Spending as much time together as possible, Annie finds herself dreaming of a future with Levi. And Levi is soon dreaming of building a home on a beautiful local hillside—to live in with Annie. Yet their longings are unlikely to become reality…

Levi is part of the English world, and while Annie cannot see herself there, she knows she must reveal her heart’s truth to him. And Levi, strongly reminded of his Amish roots, knows he must heal the bitterness of the past. And together, with love on their side, they just may find their way to an answered prayer…

My thoughts: First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, ANNIE'S RECIPE is a sweet romance about two friends (best friends) who reconnected after ten years apart. Now, seeing each other at a wedding, the two friends reconnect and spend time  together, rehashing the past and falling back into the same easy friendship they had as children.

There isn't any sexual tension between the characters, so readers and fans who like things chaste and sweet would love that aspect.

This is the second book in the Hope Chest of Dreams series. The first was Rebecca's Bouquet. I haven't read that book, but I wasn't lost at all in this book.

There is little to no faith message, so readers who object to strong gospel messages won't be offended, bothered or feel preached at.

I loved that Levi was a volunteer firefighter and was able to save a sweet little boy from a fire in the community. I also loved Annie's sweet and caring spirit toward an elderly widower in the community.

If you like sweet romances and Amish fiction about two friends finding love then  ANNIE'S RECIPE is a book to consider. Annie's recipe is included at the end of the book.

I've seen several blog posts with review about Annie's Recipe, I'm going to have to read this. Amish genre books are one of my favorite and to think it is set in Amish country right by me.
