Wishes on Wildflowers: A Christian Romance

Mar 24, 2018
by Valerie Comer
Paperback: 234 pages
  • Publisher: GreenWords Media
  • ISBN-13: 978-1988068329

Jasmine Santoro’s relationship with her older
brother has never been great, but
when she discovers he’s contracted Nathan
Hamelin to help with their new family
venture, she’s furious. She’s never forgiven her
former boyfriend for dumping her
and fleeing to L.A. eight years ago.

Nathan thought he was well over Jasmine.
They were only kids back then, clearly
too young for a committed relationship.
Now his hopes to turn animosity to friendship blossom into more when he
finds himself falling in love with Jasmine all over again. But when problems
heat up with her brother, Nathan must decide if he’ll expose his past and
risk losing her for good.

Are Jasmine’s growing feelings strong enough to remind her grace is needed
for life and love?

My thoughts: WISHES ON WILDFLOWERS is the fourth book in the Urban
Farm Fresh series, but it does stand alone. There are some references to
previous characters, some hopefully future characters.

Ms. Comer is one of my favorite Christian romance authors. I love the realism of her
characters, and the strong faith message included. In this case it was what I
needed to hear because the hero is a man similar to my oldest son, making bad
decisions. But Nathan manned up, found Christ and changed his life around and
I am holding out hope (and prayers) that my son will, too.

More conservative readers might have issue with the drinking some of the
Christian characters do.

I have read all the books in this series so far (except Memories of Mist, which I have
on my kindle, I think) and I have loved them all. If you  like Christian Romances, you
will love Ms. Comer's Urban Farm Fresh series.

I bought a kindle copy on Amazon. All opinions are my own.

About the Urban Farm Fresh Christian Romance Series
0. Promise of Peppermint
1. Secrets of Sunbeams
2. Butterflies on Breezes
3. Memories of Mist
4. Wishes on Wildflowers

The Urban Farm Fresh Romance series follows the adventures, romantic and
otherwise, of a group of friends in the fictional neighborhood of Bridgeview in
Spokane, Washington. A Christian romance series, these urban farming stories
explore what an urban community focused on local food might look like: raising
goats, chickens, and bees in the heart of the city while sharing in food projects
and engaging in each others' lives through community gardens and permaculture.
Each story stands alone.

While the Urban Farm Fresh Romance series shares a world and some characters
from the Farm Fresh Romance series, it stands complete in its own setting.
