During a snowstorm, Betty Tanner finds herself stuck with her estranged husband. Spending Christmas with Glenn wasn’t what she had in mind, and her mind reluctantly travels back three decades to their first Christmas together, when another snowstorm caused her to wreck her car outside the Tanner home …
1954: Stranded with the Tanners over Christmas, Betty is forced into the company of Glenn, who had spurned her for years. But as the snow falls outside, the walls between Betty and Glenn begin to crumble, revealing a side of him she never knew existed. A side she longs to know better.
Pride and bitterness can make a beast out of anyone. And the hardships they face in their relationship are of their own making. But can following Christ’s ways lead Betty and Glenn to the reconciliation they long for?
A.M. Heath invites you to spend Christmas with the Tanners in a dual-timeline novel loosely inspired by Beauty and the Beast. You’re sure to fall in love again and again

My thoughts (reviewed by Marilyn Ridgway): “We’ve been made one. There’s shouldn’t be anything natural
about splitting us apart now.”
This dual time line story of Betty and Glenn is an
astonishing read in Yesterday’s Christmas by A.M. Heath. Betty Tanner was
introduced in book one, If It Were Only Yesterday, in the series A Season
Passed. The hero and heroine are like so many couples today. They had issues
growing up, but once time was spent together they discovered some qualities and
love they had not anticipated. I appreciated the spunk and love that Glenn’s
Gramps and mother showed to Betty in 1954. When life didn’t flow as Betty
anticipated in her marriage to Glenn the couple separated. History had a way of
repeating itself for Betty, when she landed in a ditch in front of the Tanner’s
farm house in 1985. With God speaking to her and conversations with Glenn find
her heart seeking forgiveness and removing the bitterness she harbored?
I loved the spiritual application A.M. Heath adds to all her
books and the truths of today with couples leaving one another without trying
to save a marriage through seeking God and prayer. Her dual time line and the
loose comparison of this story with the beloved Disney tale Beauty and the
Beast made this a heart felt and worthy read. I look forward to reading more
wonderful story by A.M. Heath.
