Marilyn's thoughts:

A Rose for the Resistance is an emotional and action packed WWII story that had my emotions and actively seeing the scenes in my mind throughout the tale. Rosalie Barrieau is trying to keep her younger brother and mother safe in their small French village. Franz Katka, a German solider, encounters Rosalie and her brother when he is transferred against his wishes. He's drawn to her for some reason and did what he could to ensure her safety. Add an injured British pilot to the Barrieau's household with unexpected events leaping off the pages till the end. Rosalie and Marcel involvement with the resistance gave way to periods of intense moments not knowing what was going to happen. A French heroine, a German soldier wanting a different life, and an injured British pilot gave this story picturesque scenes, history that often in overlooked with the struggles of those who fought during WWII, faith being restored and romance made this another winner in the Heroines of WWII series.

Thank you to Barbour Publishing for a complimentary copy of this book without any obligation to write a review. I have gladly expressed my own thoughts.
