Camryn Paine is all ears when it comes to solving crimes. . .
Annie King, a popular social media personality, is being threatened and requests Camryn’s help. Before Camryn can uncover the truth about what’s going on, Annie nearly dies while filming her show. With Annie in the hospital, Camryn is compelled to do whatever she can to help.
Camryn’s con artist father is released from prison and wants a second chance to make things right between them. However, she suspects there’s more to his sudden appearance than he’s revealing. Is he looking for redemption or does he have yet another con up his sleeve?
Danger escalates, and Camryn turns to the one man she can count on to help her solve the crimes—her former love, popular country singer Weston Turner. He’s there for her now, but she fears he’ll leave again and take her heart along.
With so much on the line, Camryn must hit all the right notes . . . before the outro leaves her at death’s doorstep.

My thoughts: I love this series by Ms. Barritt and am anxious for the 4th book in the series. This one was a little bit gross as we were listening to people chew and it went into too much detail, but it was necessary to emphasis Camryn's supersonic hearing, It wasn't a super scary or creepy cozy mystery and there is no faith message, but it is a good read. i didn't guess who-dun-it until it was revealed at the end. i loved the ending and can't wait til the next book to hind out how the old romantic flame turns out. If you love cozy mysteries you will love Tone Death and all the other books in this collection. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.
