by Janette Oke (Author)
Josh Jones realizes his family isn't typical, but it's the only life he's ever known. Aunt Lou,
Gramps, Uncle Charlie, Grandpa--they all have shaped the young man he has become.
But as he grows into manhood, Josh begins to face important questions about life, love,
and faith. Three million books sold in the series.
My thoughts: Once Upon a Summer by Janette Oke is an older book that I
read when I was a teen. Janette Oke is a writer who built the bridge into
Christian fiction and is appreciated by many readers and writers. I remembered
much of what happened in this book when I read it the second time, but it was nice
to refresh my memory, and I did pick up different aspects that I didn't remember
from before. All the characters were lovable and relatable, and I was cheering for t
he characters all the way through. If you like historical fiction you will love Janette Oke.
I got this book off of my mom's library shelves
and I was not required to write a review.
