Genre: Inspirational/Christian life

VOICES OF THE FAITHFUL is written in devotional style, with a short selection of scripture, a true story regarding something a missionary experienced—sometimes written by the missionary—and finished up with a short prayer.

These true stories of missionaries are inspiring, short, and easy to read. They inspired me to pray more for missionaries, especially the ones who wrote that particular devotional, but sometimes God brought others to mind.

As a devotional, these are lacking. I didn’t feel like I grew any as a Christian or was fed spiritually, but these are not the digging deep in the word type. They are more “snack” type devotionals for a quick read, a quick prayer, and I spent a moment with the Lord.

VOICES OF THE FAITHFUL brings amazing stories of hundreds of Christians world-wide who live the passionate, courageous life Jesus challenged us to live.

If you are interested in missions, then this is definitely a book to consider. I recommend it. Would be an excellent start for any missionary meeting at church, or to teach others what missionaries experience. $14.99. 455 pages.
