January 2011
ISBN: 978-1-60260-783-5
Genre: Inspirational/military suspense

Colton Neeley needed out of the military. But they liked his work too much and denied his request. When Colton had a breakdown on the fourth of July, a friend helps him get out—but he has to agree to serve with a team of special ops called Nightshade.

Piper Blum is in hiding from the assassins bent on destroying her family. She’s attracted to Colton, but he doesn’t seem in any big hurry to ask her out—and she’s afraid of him discovering her secrets.

When someone makes an attempt on Piper’s life, someone else dies. Nightshade steps into the line of fire. Will Piper and Colton even survive the mission? Will their love?

DIGITALIS is the second book in Ms. Kendig’s series, but it easily stands alone. I couldn’t help but care for Colton and his family as they dealt with his flashbacks and hoped that he’d find a cure. I couldn’t understand why Piper was so edgy at first, it seemed out of character when that happened the first time, but as the book progressed it became clearer.

If you like military suspense, you will love DIGITALIS. This is definitely a cross-gender book, appealing to both male and female readers alike. The action keeps the pages turning and it doesn’t stop until the end of the book. Don’t miss DIGITALIS. $12.99. 320 pages.
