To Win Her Heart

Title: TO WIN HER HEART
Author: Karen Witemeyer
Publisher: Bethany House
May 2011
ISBN: 978-0-7642-0757-0
Genre: Inspirational/historical

Levi Grant has just finished serving his sentence for crimes committed when he was looking for fame and fortune. Now Levi wants to start over in the town of Spencer, Texas, as the town blacksmith. Levi learned the trade from his father, and he needs to start over where no one knows his past.

Eden Spencer is the town librarian, and she’s determined to have nothing to do with marriage—to anyone. Not the town sheriff who seems determined to marry her, nor the mountain-sized stranger who takes the job as blacksmith.

When Levi goes into the library to borrow a book, Levi and Eden begin to form a fledgling friendship. But as their friendship grows into something more, Levi’s history comes to light. What will it take for Eden to move past Levi’s tarnished past to find love?

TO WIN HER HEART is the latest book by Ms. Witemeyer. I’ve read all her books so far, and loved each one of them so far. Levi is a man with a past determined to move past it and make an honest life. Eden has been hurt and in trying to protect herself she comes across as a bit snobbish and judgmental.

I did enjoy TO WIN HER HEART and highly recommend it—or any of Ms. Witemeyer’s books—to anyone looking for a good historical romance. $14.99. 347 pages.
