Wait Upon the Lord by Jenna V. Hilton

Hebrews 11:1  (KJV)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

My dad has a routine every day after work and on his days off. He lets Skye in, wrestles with her and then settles down to watch a movie. Every day, Skye comes in, eats breakfast and then sits in “her” seat to wait for The Man to join her.

This is the definition of Faith, I think. To wait upon the Lord, fully confident that He will join you. It’s hard sometimes, but we need to be patient and wait. Because God loves us, and nothing pleases Him more than to spend time with us.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us the ability to come to you. Thank you for always wanting to spend time with us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Jenna V. Hilton is eighteen, and lives in Arkansas with her parents, two sisters, a brother, and dog.  She is a senior in high school and planning to attend college to become a veterinarian.
