Kathleen Phillips hidden secret was catching up with her as she ran for governor of Oregon. Her life and others were being threatened, but she did not want anyone to know about Paige McDonald. Holder had multiple unexpected twists and turns with unusual circumstances connecting individuals making this one of the best Christian suspense books I’ve read this year. The primary theme is forgiveness and not forsaking God that caused individuals to turn into a bitter and self-seeking person at any cost. I look forward to reading more books with these characters in the future by Gina Holder. She is one masterful storyteller.
