Now faith is being
sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV
“This is my story,
this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long,” I burst out in my
favorite song as I washed dishes, ironed, vacuumed, and dusted. My children
knew about the passion I had for my Jesus. I never kept it a secret from
anyone.
There were other
times when I would go into my bedroom, close the door, and sit at my Savior’s
feet, and worship—read my Bible and pray. When we love someone, we want to
spend time with them.
Recently, my grown
daughter, Melanie, said, “Mom, we knew what you were doing in your bedroom.”
Although it was my quiet time with only the Lord and me, I’m grateful it was
also my witness to my children.
Do our family,
friends, neighbors, and community know what we’re passionate about? Are we
witnessing to others around us? Shout it from the rooftops.
Lord, thank You that I’m able to sing your praises and
worship at your feet. What a blessed assurance. Amen
