by Christy Barritt (Author)
When former Navy SEAL Hudson Carmichael sets out to rescue a woman in danger and bring her to Vanishing Ranch for refuge, he knows exactly what he needs to do. But his plan is thrown off course when he comes face-to-face with his dead fiancée.
When Teagan Murphy unwillingly became entangled in the Farino crime family, she had no choice but to leave Hudson—and her entire life—behind. Now, as the stakes are raised, Teagan must find a way to disappear . . . again. She never expects Hudson, the only man she’s ever loved, to be the one to rescue her. But he’s here, and he has questions that need answers.
As Hudson and Teagan work together to gain her freedom, they once again find themselves hoping for what might have been. But one secret is keeping Teagan alive—a secret that has the power to change everything.

My thoughts; VANISHING RANCH is a ranch where people go to vanish. In Teagan's case, she was abducted while on a shopping trip and snatched when her abductor is shocked to learn that Teagan is none other than his ex-girlfriend, assumed dead. But the bad guys are adept at finding her and Teagan now has to fight for her life. There were some surprises, but for the most part the villains are known and why is know and the only question is how will Teagan actually manage to 'vanish'. As per usual with Ms. Barritt's books, the writing is fast-paced and the reader must keep reading. There is little to no faith message. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.
