Chef Sadie Spencer is working her way back up from the bottom. Years earlier, she’d written two successful cookbooks, ran a television program, and had a successful eatery. Now, she only has a moderately sized restaurant in Hershey, where she has a small, but loyal following. Sadie has a four-year-old daughter, and her long time friend, Jasper, babysits. Everything is good.

But then a handsome Russian entrepreneur, Dmitri, comes to town, and rumor has it that Dmitri is planning in opening his own restaurant right across the street from Sadie’s! To Sadie, this means war. Not only that, but her father, who abandoned her as a child, is now back in town, claiming to be a Christian and trying to make things right.

When a Hershey’s bake-off is announced, Sadie is determined to win—no matter what the cost. Even if she loses her daughter, Jasper, Dmitri, and everything else she holds dear. What will it take for Sadie to see the light?

LOVE FINDS YOU IN HERSHEY, PENNSYLVANIA is a sweet contemporary in this line. I enjoyed reading a little about the town of Hershey, but there really isn’t as much town information included in this book as there are in other Love Finds You books.

Sadie is a very selfish woman who can’t see beyond her own needs (which she expects everyone to cater to) but the secondary characters, as well as the two male leads, are all sweethearts. To also help balance out Sadie’s negativity, there is plenty of laugh out loud moments. $12.99. 347 pages
