Last Chance, California falls into the once real category. Now it is nothing more than a ghost town, a wide spot in the road of California’s mountains. But in the 1800’s it was a thriving community, and possibly home to people similar to those in the story Miralee Ferrell wove about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Alex and Justin, and hoped that they would find Ben’s gold and be able to save the ranch. I also liked that there was a bit of a suspense in there, with someone targeting Alex. I enjoyed trying to figure that out—and though I had several ideas, I didn’t know for sure who it was until the end of the book. Make sure you pick up a copy of LOVE FINDS YOU IN LAST CHANCE, CALIFORNIA. It is a wonderful read, and I loved all the historical information about Last Chance included in the story. $13.99. 312 pages.
