MICHAL is the first book in Ms. Smith’s The Wives of King David series. I was privileged to see this story go from it’s beginning stages and to watch the frustration as Jill Eileen Smith struggled to find a market for her biblical fiction and I cheered from the sidelines when she did.

I knew the biblical account of King David and his wives, but I never could have imagined this much life into their stories. Michal became real, and I felt very sorry for her loving the man that she did – not that David was a bad man, but you know the Bible stories as well as I do. She always would have to be worried about his life, and sharing him with other wives could not have been easy.

I enjoyed reading this book, and am looking forward to the others in the series. Don’t miss MICHAL. It will bring the Bible stories to life in a whole new way. $13.99. 375 pages.
