Homespun Harvest

Title: HOMESPUN HARVEST
Author: Robert Elmer
Publisher: Guidepost Books
2008
Genre: Inspirational/women’s fiction

Thanksgiving is drawing near, and Charlotte is beginning to feel the pinch. The kids all want things Bob and Charlotte can’t afford for Christmas, so when Charlotte’s friend suggests that they go into the pie making business for Charlotte’s famous pies, Charlotte is quick to agree. It’d be good for the kids to learn some skills working together.

But things quickly escalate out of control, when Charlotte finds out that she has to have a separate kitchen for baking commercially. But not only that—but when the orders have already started piling in, and a news reporter says she’s going to be in the area and wants to spotlight Charlotte’s pies.

When a tragedy threatens to ruin the holidays, will they be able to rally enough to celebrate?

HOMESPUN HARVEST is one of the books in the Home to Heather Creek series. I read almost all the books in this series (not necessarily in order) and enjoyed every single one. I have to really admire how the different authors managed to give the characters the same voice, and keep up with the story line in this continuing series.

Even though I read the books out of order, I had no problem catching up with what was happening and to get into the story. Fans will probably want to read them all the way through, but with Thanksgiving quickly approaching, then HOMESPUN HARVEST will be an excellent book to put you into the holiday spirit. Available from Guidepost Books at www.guidepost.com or at www.amazon.com. 262 pages.
