PROTECTING HIS FAMILY
Just in time for the holidays, navy SEAL Zach McCloud returns home from deployment—and discovers someone wants his family dead. When he married his cousin's struggling widow, he vowed to help her and her seriously ill son, and now he'll risk everything to protect them. Even if their arrangement is only temporary. Kristi's certain an unhappy client from the law firm where she works is determined to hunt her down. But when a sniper bullet wildly misses its target, they begin to question whether it's really her someone wants dead. Working together, can they figure out why they've been attacked…and keep little Cody from the nefarious forces dead set on making this Christmas their last?
My thoughts: First, the disclaimer.  "I was provided a free copy of this book off from the author. All opinions are my own." That done, HAZARDOUS HOLIDAY is a suspense read by a talented author -- Liz Johnson. I have fallen in love with her series set on Price Edward Island--though they are straight romance and not romantic suspense. (If you like romance, they are The Red Door Inn and Where Two Hearts Meet.)

HAZAROUS HOLIDAY starts out with a bang as Zach and his wife, Kristi, are almost forced off the road after Zach returns from a stint on active duty. Someone tries to force them off the road, and then they are shot at. Kristi is convinced it was someone who threw threats at her and her boss when the lawyer firm she works for refuses to represent him. So the reader starts out thinking they know whodunit, but as fans of romantic suspense know, it is not that easy. It is never that easy. So whodunit and why?

I was kept at the edge of my seat as I read HAZARDOUS HOLIDAY and recommend it as a good read that will keep you guessing even after you figure out the why.

A great romantic suspense. Highly recommended.
