"With action, adventure, romance, and a large, nuanced cast, Rescue Me is classic Susan May Warren. She pulls readers in on page one and never lets go."--Irene Hannon, bestselling author and three-time RITA Award winner

When Deputy Sam Brooks commits to something, nothing can sway him--not just on the job but in his private life. He's the one who stuck around to take care of his mother after his father's accidental death. And he's the one--perhaps the only one--who believes Sierra Rose is the perfect girl for him. Safe, practical, and organized, she's nothing like her hippie, impulsive, bleeding-heart sister, Willow.

Willow, however, has been in love with Sam Brooks for as long as she can remember. But she wants her sister to have a happy ending. Besides, Willow has other things to focus on--namely, nabbing the job of her dreams. Best thing for her to do is to purge Sam from her heart.

Neither can predict the events that will bring them together in a fight for their lives in the forbidding wilderness of Glacier National Park. Stranded, injured, and with the winter weather closing in, Sam and Willow will have to work together to save a crew of terrified teenagers. As they fight to survive, they might just discover a new hope for love.

"Susan May Warren has once again created characters that dig into your heart and latch on. Characters so real I missed them after the end."--Patricia Bradley, author of Silence in the Dark

My thoughts: First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, RESCUE ME  is Ms. Warren's latest and greatest adventure filled romance. I have to admit, I *love* Sam. And Pete. And I am sooooo anxious to read Pete's story (but Gabe's is coming next and I can't wait for that either.)

Ms. Warren is a stellar writer, one who knows how to grab the emotions and not let go. I was on the edge of my seat as the PEAK team rescuers faced their first grizzly attack and kept waiting for another...

RESCUE ME is full of dramatic survival and rescues, enough so that I read the book in one afternoon. I absolutely could  not put it down. I enjoyed getting to know Willow and Jess better, I suspected Sierra's motives from the first, and I ached for some of the teens in the youth group.  I also loved Willow's first, second, and third impressions of the new youth pastor!

I am anxious to read the next book in this series. Can. Not. Wait.

Ms. Warren is one of my favorite contemporary romance writers and if you haven't read any of her books yet, you must.

This is a good one to start with.

Especially if you like edge-of-your-seat drama.
