The Moonbeam Award Gold Medal Winner in the religion category, The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the Story beneath all the stories in the Bible. At the center of the Story is a baby, the child upon whom everything will depend. Every story whispers his name. From Noah to Moses to the great King David---every story points to him. He is like the missing piece in a puzzle---the piece that makes all the other pieces fit together. From the Old Testament through the New Testament, as the Story unfolds, children will pick up the clues and piece together the puzzle. A Bible like no other, The Jesus Storybook Bible invites children to join in the greatest of all adventures, to discover for themselves that Jesus is at the center of God's great story of salvation---and at the center of their Story too.
My thoughts: First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, THE JESUS STORY BIBLE is a reprint of the popular book by Sally Lloyd-Jones and acclaimed illustrator, Jago. The many stories in this book include (but are not limited to: The Story and the Song, A New Beginning, The Girl No One Wanted, Son of Laughter, God's Messenger, The King of All Kings, and so many more. Children will love having these stories read to them, or even better, reading them for themselves. Excellent for church libraries, schools, day cares, nurseries, or your own personal library.
Warning: there are some biblical inaccuracies that some people will have problems with, and there are some literacy fictionalizing of the stories, making them "based on a true story" but not true facts.
